Green ? on Lucent USB Host Controller and Other Devices

How to Remove

To remove the green question marks go to the Device Manager while in Windows Standard (Normal) mode, Go to System Properties - Device Manager.  Select USB Host Controllers.

 

Click on the USB Host Controller with Green ? and Tab to Driver.

 

 

Click, Update Driver

 

 

Choose, Specify the location of the driver (Advanced) then Click Next

 

 

Select Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want.  Click Next

 

 

Choose Lucent USB Open Host Controller (6-8-2000).  Click Next. Click Next again.  After the driver update window installs the driver Click Finish.  Click Close. 

Windows will inform you that you must restart.  Choose NO.  Repeat this operation until you have removed all the question marks from all of the Lucent USB Host Controllers.  Restart when complete.  

Please Note: the driver you are manually installing is the same driver that Windows has initially installed.  Unfortunately, this driver does NOT work correctly unless manually installed by the above method.
